Witness and dashcam appeal following road traffic collision in North Dorset

Officers are appealing for witnesses or anyone with relevant dashcam footage to come forward following a road traffic collision in North Dorset.

Dorset Police received a report at 1.54pm on Monday 22 June 2026 of a collision involving a grey Hyundai Konan and a grey MG HS on the A31 at Stag Gate in Winterborne Zelston.

Officers attended and a road closure was put in place to allow emergency services to respond to the incident.

Two occupants of the Hyundai Konan were taken to hospital, with one sustaining potentially serious injuries.

Police Constable Dan Blagden, of the Roads Policing Team, said: “We are carrying out a thorough investigation to establish the full circumstances of this collision.

“I would urge any witnesses or anyone who may have captured relevant dashcam footage to please contact us.

“I would also like to thank members of the public for their patience and understanding during the road closures.”
